Google pushes 100-mpg car: Dave, you may get your 100 m.p.g. car after all.

Google said Tuesday it is getting in on the development of electric vehicles, awarding $1 million in grants and inviting applicants to bid for another $10 million in funding to develop plug-in hybrid electric vehicles capable of getting 70 to 100 miles per gallon.

  1. I wish the best for Google and Tesla Motors, any new start up trying to push for change. I’ve been hearing about new automotive technologies for 20 years and nothing changes. One excuse after the next. If technology companies what to do it for us, go for it! Forget about the global warming debate. Do something about it.
