Firefox Goes Offline, in a Good Way

Firefox3: Web Apps Game changer: This is obviously significant, but I’m curious as to how this will actually work. I’m assuming this isn’t just a “Firefox makes it work” scenario, and that there will be modifications necessary to the underlying app. So, this leaves me asking, what does “support” mean here?

Firefox3 is going to deliver support for offline applications.

Why is this important? Because when you go offline you will still be able to interact with your applications. So in a webmail scenario, read your mail, write drafts. Web Calendars would work.
