Web reaches new milestone: 100 million sites: Crazy. That’s one Web site for every 60 people on Earth.

The Internet services company Netcraft says a mammoth milestone was reached during the month of October. […] “There are now 100 million Web sites with domain names and content on them,” said Netcraft’s Rich Miller.

  1. so….. is anyone else completely underwhelmed by this stat? I know there are billions and billions of webpages, and next to that number, 100 million just doesn’t sound like much. one for every 3 people in the US? meh
