Bionic Dolphin Revisited

Creator hopes ‘bionic dolphin’ makes big splash: Two years after we first discussed it, the Bionic Dolphin is suddenly in the news again.

A new aquatic vehicle that can take passengers beneath the surface of the water, revolve 360 degrees and stand upright like a dolphin, may be released as early as next year, according to its developer.

It was even on Saturday Night Live last night. In a Weekend Update bit, Seth Meyers said it was the perfect gift for someone “who wants to drown in a mechanical dolphin.”

  1. it is allegedly going to cost around $50,000 for the factory production units. tell you this if i ever win the lottery, the bionic dolphin is top of my shoping list. wish they would release plans to build one but apparently you have to sign up for tuition before they’ll sell you one. (dont want anyone’s injuries on their minds – not impressed)
