Cheap Cable Runs

By Deane Barker on October 7, 2006

Turns out that steel pipe hanging straps make handy cable runs. They’re pliable, and you can cut them for as big a loop as you need.

I got all the cabling (and power strips) under my desk off the ground for less than three dollars in materials — the straps (a 10-foot roll), and a half dozen wood screws.

Based on this, my wife has elected to keep me around at least a little while longer.

  1. well, isn’t that just the cats meow, I should remember this. But I think that I’d put tape or something around them to prevent fraying (Those edges are sharp!)
