Wikipedia Featured Images

Wikipedia:Featured pictures visible: Almost two years ago, we talked about how Wikipedia is a handy place to find copylefted images of stuff:

As if Wikipedia wasn’t useful enough already, it also happens to be a great archive of public domain and Creative Commons-licensed images.

Now MetaFilter points to Wikipedia’s Featured Images page, which is a huge page of some of the most interesting images in the entire site. Fascinating to browse, and all the images are licensed in such a way that they’re usually usable for whatever you want.
