Star Wars Coming to TV

By Deane Barker on March 21, 2006

Star Wars series to run and run: Please Lord, let this be true.

The series will be set between episodes three and four of the film saga.

It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing up that remains a mystery to most film-goers.

McCallum said there would be “a whole bunch of new characters” and the series would be “much more dramatic and darker”.

Right now, in my basement, my DVR just started drooling.

  1. It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing up that remains a mystery to most film-goers.

Weren’t Luke’s first 20 years spent entirely on Tatooine? Seems to me that that would exclude The Force, the Federation, and interplanetary travel, which means the series won’t be much like the movies. All of that seemed pretty foreign to Luke in Episode four. Of course, some of that “bunch of new characters” may bring those elements into to the mix anyway.

Any word on what network will run it?
