Virtual Drive

Windows Live Local – Virtual Earth Technology Preview: This is buggy to the point of being barely usable, but it’s interesting nonetheless. The bottom pane is an aerial view, and you can drag the little car to watch a street-level view in the upper pane. So you can “drive” around a city.

Again, however, it barely worked for me. How did it work for you?

  1. I was just on that earlier today via Scoble’s site. He was going on about how cool it is (what a shocker), but I found it extremely buggy. I also found my self asking: Even when the bugs are worked out, is there a real use for this, or is it just another AJAX parlor trick?
