Of Domains and Deuce Bigalow

By Deane Barker on August 18, 2005

I noticed the other day that the offical Web site for Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo was deucebigalow2.com. In a fit of curiosity, I went to find out how far “in advance” they had reserved domain names, fully expecting deucebigalow3.com to be taken.

It wasn’t. No one has registered past deucebigalow2.com. Here’s a list of all the variations. There aren’t any names reserved for planned sequels that I can see (though they did get the roman numerial verson of the current film, thank goodness).

I thought about registering the next name in succession, then squatting it. Then I figured it was a waste of money.

What Links Here

  1. No, the real waste of money is the $7.50 you’d spend on a ticket for this movie. Your buddy Mr. Ebert did not have kind things to say about it. Going so far as to wonder why the studio would make something that would be such a complete waste of their customers’ money..

“Deuce Bigalow” is aggressively bad, as if it wants to cause suffering to the audience. The best thing about it is that it runs for only 75 minutes.”

Wise choice not buying this one Deano. This is hopefully the end of the line.

  2. I think you should not only buy it, but load it up with trailers and all kinds of fake hype about the exciting upcoming part III of the DB saga. Make up media quotes, and invent an entire message board of people chatting excitedly about how they cannot WAIT for the 2007 release of this movie.

Come on, do it. DO IT.
