Concorde To Rise Again?

CNN is reporting that the SJAC (Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies) and the French Aerospace Industries Association are making plans to revive the Concorde, starting fresh with a larger cabin (300 passenger), lighter-weight components, and more modern power plants.

Not sure what makes them think that this will be any more successful than the first Concorde, when the only benefits it offers is saving a few hours on a trans-continental flight and an inflated per-seat cost (oh wait; the higher price isn’t a benefit.) Still, I’d love to take a ride on one!
