.com, .org, What’s the Difference?

It seems Vice President Cheney goofed a bit last night when he said to visit factcheck.com to prove that Senator Edwards didn’t have his facts straight on Halliburton. Apparently Cayman Island cybersquatters owned the site up until the moment of the VP’s slip. George Soros quickly purchased it and now it redirects to georgesoros.com. George may not be the most vocal critic of the current administration, but he is probably the wealthiest. The site the VP meant was factcheck.org (which is now experiencing server problems). According to recent polls I’m guessing about 49% of us find this extremely funny.

Kinda reminds me of the whitehouse.com mix up from a few years ago.
