Blah

By Deane Barker on July 16, 2004

Blah – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: I just had to post a link to this. “Blah” is a word that I use when I need to test something by printing out a garbage string (I think I got this from Joe). I was making a little widget to query Wikipedia this morning, never thinking they would actually have an entry for it:

Blah is a common word that has some several meanings: a word to express disapproval or uncontentment; a word to express apathy; a metasyntactic variable; Moses Blah, President of Liberia (2003); Blah, blah, blah. See 1931 in music.

Do we need any other proof that Wikipedia is all-powerful? With this post, I think we’ve become the official “Wikipedia Cheerleading Blog.”
