What is (are?) Hydralinks?

HydraLinks: A bit about this came in SearchDay today:

HydraLinks streamlines the way any browser readable media information is accessed, managed, discovered and shared, making your time investment more efficient.

I defy you to go to the site and figure out what this software does. I looked around, and I even watched the Flash demo — which was about as specific as an Amway presentation. What is this? All I could figure out was it’s a browser plug-in, and training costs $500 per student.

Okay, if you really want to know, go to the article at Search Engine Watch.

At its most basic level, HydraLinks lets you quickly scan search results and save selected links to a separate list for later investigation. It also allows you to set an “anchor” link that lets you surf the web to your heart’s content, then instantly return to your anchor page without having to repeatedly click the back button. … Two other options allow you to open a page in a new window or a background window. Simple tasks, but ones that can dramatically speed up your search process.

I post this just as an exercise to see if their site provides any of the information a prospective customer would want.
