XML / XSL Support in Word 2003

Turn Word Into a Syndication Client: This article is about using Word 2003 as an RSS client, but it also sheds some light on the fantastic new features in Office 2003:

The most visible aspect of Word’s XML support is its ability to act as a native editor for XML documents, but there’s more beneath the covers. In particular, Word can now apply an XML Transform (XSLT file) directly to an XML document when it’s being opened. Couple this with the open, standards-based WordML format for saving native Word documents as XML, and you have a powerful system for viewing XML data from any source at all.

XMLSpy and ArborText are heading into very rough waters between this and FrontPage 2003.
