Broadband and Commercial Effectiveness

At Last, the Web Hits 100 MPH: Here’s an article about how broadband will affect the commercial potential of the Web. It includes this quote that had never occured to me before:

In tests, customers who watch videos about the luggage [eBags] sells are 19% more likely to buy than customers who just look at pictures on his site.

Until now, video was just a bell or whistle. With broadband, however, we suppose it will become the norm. How long until your Web site basically becomes an always-available infomercial? The line between TV and the Web will blur quite a bit.
