What makes a great Website?: Some good advice here.

What makes a great website is focus and clarity of purpose. A great website is unpretentious. It doesn’t pretend to be what it is not. It never wastes your time because it always gets to the point. A great website helps you to act.

I was interviewing a graphic artist once, and she said that she really wanted to “move beyond the ‘inverted L’.” She was hired, and she worked out great, but, in the end, the “inverted L” has a lot going for it.
