Software Replaces Lab Animals

New software has been developed by Indian scientists that will allow drugs to be tested using it, rather than on lab animals. Drug Discovery Assistant or DD Assist as it’s being called, will reduce the use of lab animals by about 90%.

“Scientists say similar technology is already being used by developed countries. But costs were high and beyond reach of the Indian medical industry. The Indian software DD Assist is much cheaper.”
