Terrafly

TerraFly: This is kinda interesting. It’s an aerial map that you can move interactively. I found my house then followed my drive to work. Sioux Falls is not a teeming metropolis, so if I can find my house and office, odds are you can too.

TerraFly ® changes the way you view your world. Simply enter an address, and our system will put you at the controls of a bird’s view aerial imagery to explore your digital earth.

To move, click at the edge of the image. If you click anywhere else, it will pop a window with demographic information about where you clicked, including information about the nearest building. It’s surprisingly accurate.

I’ve always thought it would be funny to add a “Drop Bomb” button to one of these interfaces as a joke.
