The Michael Jackson Prosecution Site

Jackson Web Site Unites, Divides Legal Profession: Michael Jackson set up a Web site to counter child molestation charges. Now the prosecutor’s office has done the same. There’s an interesting debate on the effectiveness and appropriateness of this.

Some legal experts said that posting documents detailing the criminal charges against the 45-year-old entertainer was a breakthrough for public access. Others countered that it would undermine the spirit of the law and court proceedings, creating even more of a circus-like atmosphere.

Defense lawyers used to be accused of “trying cases in the press.” Now it seems everyone is going to try cases on the Web.

  1. What happened to no white after labor day? How about the prosecution team and victim supporters wear white – they are definitely the innocent ones.
