Marketers in Hot Water Over Affiliate Spam

Spam Suit Highlights Need to Police Affiliates: So, if I’m reading this right, Amazon or Google could be in trouble if I spammed a bunch of people to get them to this site so I could make money of the affiliate marketing? Or is my agency relationship with them not strong enough for that? Not sure. Still, a little scary.

In the wake of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer’s $20 million lawsuit against an alleged New York-based spam ring, marketers have been put on notice that they could be held responsible for the actions of their affiliates.
