Plug In, Boot Up and Feel Free to Melt Down: The fact that TechTV will have a 12-hour marathon of Call-for-Help on the day after Christimas is remarkable. The fact that the New York Times wrote an entire article about it is amazing.

On Friday morning Mr. Laporte begins a 12-hour version of his regular one-hour call-in show, “Call for Help,” which is seen on weekdays and tries to make 21st-century consumer electronics friendlier to everyone, from expert professionals to newcomers who may not know a modem from a molehill. Think “This Old Hard Drive.”
