Dynamically Rendered Flash Charts

By Deane Barker on June 2, 2003

FlashCharts v2.0: Seemingly very cool app that lets you dynamically create Flash charts for your Web-based app.

FlashCharts v2.0 generates bar charts, line charts, pie charts, and a stock chart. It generates all the graphics in the client computer using Macromedia’s Flash technology, taking the load off your servers and eliminating the use of DLL components or ActiveX contols.

Check out the demo editor. That’s a lot of functionality for $29.95 per server. (Finally, a good use for Flash! I knew it would happen one day…)

  1. Let me see if I get this straight. Are you actually promoting the virtues of Flash? I’m stunned. BTW, the generic black and white theme of your site, while easy to read, is not very appealling to the eye. Remember, it’s about the USER.

  2. Have you been talking to Kara? The fact that my site is black-and-white has nothing to do with usability. It does, however, have everything to do with the fact that I have no artistic talent at all. Should I make the banner a different color?
