Microsoft to pay AOL $750 million | CNET This is a bit of a downer because I thought AOL was edging closer to using Mozilla or another Gecko-based browser as their default. Seven more years on IE? That alone was probably worth the money to Microsoft.

“As part of the deal, announced Thursday, the two companies will drop pending litigation … AOL also agreed to a seven-year royalty-free license of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser.”
