Vintage Computer Festival: October 11 and 12 in Mountain View, California.
“The mission of the Vintage Computer Festival is to promote the preservation of ‘obsolete’ computers by offering people a chance to experience the technologies, people and stories that embody the remarkable tale of the computer revolution.”
The Retro Code Video Game Programming Challenge looks good:
“The Retro-Code Video Game Programming Challenge pits three teams against each other in a contest to develop the coolest video game on a vintage computer.
The object is simple: write the best video game on your team’s chosen computer within 3 hours. At the end of the coding period, the games will be judged by a panel of randomly chosen VCF attendees and the game most liked by attendees will be deemed the Retro-Code Champion”
You can choose to code for Team Apple, Team Atari, or Team Commodore. Too bad there’s no “Team TI-994A” or else I would so be there.
