Apple Releases Then Retracts 10.2.8 Update

By on September 26, 2003

Apple Computer released a “performance update” for OS X Jaguar on September 23, then promptly kicked that puppy off its support site the following day. Many who had downloaded & installed the update complained of networking glitches on certain machines. Others found things to like with the update, such as improved video performance, improved battery life, etc… so apparently the engineers at Apple must’ve been a little lax in testing the thing out on all supported hardware.

Hmmm. Sounds an awful lot like any given Winders update. Feel free to post your favorite “upgrade” horror story here.
