No More MSN Chat Rooms

By Deane Barker on September 23, 2003

MSN shuts down its chatrooms: Microsoft decided to do this out of fear that the chat rooms were being used by pedophiles and other malcontents.

“Microsoft’s internet service MSN has taken a major step in net safety which could sound the death knell for unsupervised chatrooms. MSN are closing all their chatrooms in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and most of Asia …”

They should have the guys from Perverted Justice monitor the chat rooms (don’t worry, the link is safe for work). That’d set people straight right quick.
