Now the name of this software project makes so much more sense.

Nope, you were not the last. I didn't know until your post. I know I've been seeing it more lately but hadn't taken the time to look it up. In the context I would see it, I think I was either attributing it to a user name or I was also mixing it in with the text direction abbreviations like LTR or RTL.
