Psystar Corporation - OpenMac: These guys are asking to get sued.

The highly extensible OpenMac is a configuration of PC hardware capable of running unmodified OS X Leopard kernels.

Leopard on a white box machine for $399.

Good on them for putting this product out! If Apple has sense (one has to wonder sometimes) they will open the platform.

I may order one, just to see how far it gets. Any bets on whether they ever actually ship anything?

Also, the $399 price doesn’t include a legal copy of Leopard. To get that installed costs an extra $155. Or you can buy it elsewhere for $129 & install it yourself.

InsanelyMac had an article on this earlier; their ps:

P.S: If you would have bought those Xserves instead maybe your website wouldn’t be down.
Their website is very nearly unresponsive.
