IE8 Passes Acid2

Internet Explorer 8 and Acid2: A Milestone: There’s a screencap on this page of a build of IE8 passing the fairly brutal Acid2 test.

Last week, we achieved an important milestone that should interest web developers. IE8 now renders the “Acid2 Face” correctly in IE8 standards mode.

Kind of exciting, considering that Acid2 uses data URLs. Data URLs are a little-known feature that could be hugely useful in the future.
