ThinkSecret is No More

Apple, Think Secret settle lawsuit: Apple has successfully killed ThinkSecret.

Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement, no sources were revealed and Think Secret will no longer be published.

I don’t know how this is a “positive solution for both sides,” unless the only other option for ThinkSecret was to pay millions of dollars in damages.

This news really saddened me. I used to be an avid reader of ThinkSecret, I was there in their glory days and their not-so-glorious days as well. I remember when the news first broke about the Apple lawsuit… I guess I never thought anything would come of it because thats what happens when major corporations sue website owners these days coughpiratebaycough. I stopped reading ThinkSecret when they stopped putting up content frequently enough to keep up with the other 50Bajillion Mac Rumorsites. I wonder if Nick will anonymously startup a new rumor site now, afterall he DID get to keep his super secret source… :D

Nice Post. Sad to see TS go. Anyhow, tomorrow is a new day, which means 5 Bazillion new mac rumor sites will spring up. haha

Thanks.

That is too bad, but not surprising. Apple’s got deep pockets and a legal arm that doesn’t quit. I doubt the “agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides” left room for Nick to return to the Mac rumor business from another domain name, but… who knows.

Deane; does your wife know you’re blogging?
