So I’m here at FM’s Conversational Marketing Summit, and I’m sitting around talking to Merlin Mann of 43 Folders. We got to talking about Drupal, and he wanted to give me a phone number of a guy he knew.
He reached into his pocket, and…there it was. The Hipster PDA. I made him put it down so I could snap a picture of it with my phone.
For years, I thought the Hipster PDA was a joke. Some time ago, I realized they were serious, but I still never got it. I mean, come on — it’s a stack of index cards clipped together.
I mentioned this to Merlin, and he responded, “If you had to give me someone’s number right now, how would you do it?”
I paused. “I’d send you an email later.”
“Sucker.”
I have owned two electronic PDAs. But they pale in comparison to the Hipster PDA. It is a fantastic tool. Try it for a week.
That's a cool looking laptop sitting there.
This reminds of a conversation had on Monday - a friend was telling me how he missed part of a football game because his cable was out. I told him I did not miss anything - I have wireless television.
On the concept of the Hipster PDA...just wanted to pass along a link to my team's latest experiment: the "Action Runner"
Think Hipster PDA + Focus on Action
