Google treading on Microsoft turf in Dell tests: In the article, both Dell and Google confirm this report.

The report, citing unnamed sources, said Dell and Google are in talks to put Google software on as many as 100 million new Dell PCs following a bidding process in which Google edged out Microsoft and after Yahoo Inc. withdrew.

My assumption is that they’re talking about the Google Pack. This is somewhat huge because the Google Pack includes Firefox. This could mean that every new Dell comes with Firefox as its default browser.

My new Dell (2 months old) already had firefox installed, altho not as default browser, it had an icon on the desktop - it’s a start…
