Sometime today, the main RSS feed will be redirected into a byzantive series of channels and will pop out at Feedburner. We’re using their MyBrand service, so the actual feed address now is:
Through MyBrand, they will actually enter you in their DNS, so that URL actually points to their server, where they cache our feed.
Why are we doing this? For better stat tracking (I have no idea how many people are subscribed to the feed), and there’s an ad deal with FM which will replace the current Google AdSense ads which nobody ever clicks on anyway.
The Feedburner subscription numbers have settled over the last 36 hours or so since we switched the feed over. The final subscriber number is about 2,250 people sucking down the RSS feed. Of course, I have no idea how that number is being calculated, but a lot of other people…
