eZ components 1.0 Release Candidate 1: The eZ Components that we discussed before have gone 1.0.

eZ components is a collection of high quality independent building blocks for PHP application development that will both speed up development and reduce risks. An application can use one or more components effortlessly as they all adhere to the same naming conventions and follow the same structure.

They all run in PHP 5.1, except, curiously, some which “require the new Unicode support that will be available from PHP 6.” Huh.

In other news, Joe and I have built a complete CMS designed to run in a theoretical language which will be released sometime in 2056.
