USA Today Gets Serious About Blogs

USA Today has always had some “blogs.” I wrote about them a bit here. But they were always just kind of afterthoughts — little tacked on pieces to a big newspaper.

Well, today I find that they have a new domain: blogs.usatoday.com. The only one I can find is the gossip blog Pop Candy, which — I’m ashamed to admit — is actually pretty entertaining.

They’ve changed the format too — the “blogs” have their own look, apart from the rest of the newspaper.

I just noticed they're allowing (moderated) comments. It looks like they're using Movable Type.
