Totally off-topic, but a friend of mine pointed me to a New York Times article, with this correction at the bottom:
An article in Business Day about Brendon Loy, the Notre Dame student who was one of the earliest to sound the alarm about the potential threat to New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina, misstated the name of Mr. Loy’s dog. It is Robbie, not Becky (which is his fiance’s name).
Would this correction have made it to the print edition, I wonder? Thanks, Chris.
Tomorrow they will probably have to correct it to "ex-fiancee".
I love how the "correction" misspelled both my name the word "fiancee." Heh. Anyway, Becky thought the whole thing was hilarious... and we got married last month, so there. :)
