On Second Thought, Not All That Smart
I posted a while ago on what a clever concept I thought the Smart car was. But there’s a downside I failed to consider:
I got woke up this morning at 6:30 by a phone call from my neighbor telling me that my smartie was laying on it’s side in my driveway. It broke the window, both fenders, the mirror, the door handle, the door panel and I don’t know what else. It’s still laying on it’s side waiting for the police to get here. Some liite [sic] bas*ds with nothing else to do at 2:00 in the morning and no respect for anyone elses property.

Sorry to hear what happened… The police should be able to lift some fingerprints from the side…
Yeah, good luck with that. I’m pretty sure CSI doesn’t swarm the place when someone tips your car over.

We have a black Smart Pulse that's about 3 years old. I live in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK, and as Portsmouth is one of the most densly populated cities in Europe, we, like many people here, got a smart to do the city run. My partner drives the smart most of the time, and I drive a Toyota Yaris, but when we have to go anywhere within the local area even the three door Yaris is overkill. The smart is amazingly good fun to drive, and you can park it perpendicular with the kerb in most places (but we never do).
