Wikimedia Commons: The last few days have shown me that I’m really out of touch with everything that’s available over at Wikipedia.

The Wikimedia Commons […] is a repository of free images, sound and other multimedia files. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation. Files uploaded to this repository can be used as local files by other projects on the Wikimedia servers, including Wikipedia, Wikibooks and Wikinews.

I had no idea about this, Wikiprojects and Wikiportals or Wikireaders. There needs to be a “For Dummies” book or something.
