Jim, can you explain WHY would would offer unlimited, free, 1TB accounts? If you can explain that logically, perhaps people would feel more comfortable with the idea.

Thanks for the infomercial, Jim, but it still doesn't make a lot of sense for you guys to do it for free. Going with the cheapest drives out there, a terabyte would still cost a lot of money; minimum $500. Add redundancy to keep the data safe (one of your main points) and the connectivity for your users to get to that data, and the price jumps higher. And you're giving these accounts to anybody just for the asking, out of the goodness of your heart?

Sorry, but there's gotta be something in it for you. Or is your company so enormously profitable in other areas that you can be this generous?

Be careful ! I believe this is a trap ! Many of my friends (including myself) created an account there but you CAN'T use that account to send or receive emails. Don't waste your time, get a one from GMAIL better.

Yes, it really doesn't work. Every time u press onCHECK MY EMAIL. A window comes up saying

Proxy Encountered Error
Connection Timeout: Could not contact the remote server. Possible causes include mistyped URL, transient network problems, overloaded remote server, and misconfigured proxy server.

I've tried this email. I could send an email to my yahoo account, but not one with an attachment. Nothing attached.

I then tried replying to my email and nothing arrived in the Hriders account. I sent several emails - one bounced back saying I had a spam rating of "9".

It's reasonable enough to offer 1 TB accounts with 500 meg attachment capabilities if there's going to be an email war - and it looks like there is. So Hriders may be poitioning itself to gain a stake. The ads are big - there's revenue from clicks... maybe good revenue. It's not necessarily a trick or a trap.

I emailed their help desk about the attachment problems and received s nonsensical gobbledy-gook programmer's reply. Face it, you can either attach a file or not attach a file - it's a simple click click procedure and doesn't require programming explanations of how I might have transgressed some code. CLICK CLICK... just like everywhere else.

It doesn't work at present. Perhaps it will in the future. At the moment it's a dead loss.
