The Webby Awards: 2004 Nominees: The 2004 Webby nominees have been announced. Friendster is in there, so is Wikipedia (twice). Red v. Blue and The Onion got Humor nods. Music Plasma — the mind-bending Flash app — got picked for Music. The only “bloggish” nom was Blog for America — the Howard Dean effort.

There’s a definitie culture shift between the Webbies and the Bloggies . With a few exceptions, the Webby noms are all very corporate, very flashy, whilst the Bloggies are very earthy and homegrown. Such is the definition, I suppose.
